It's about quality
This pretty and stylish chambres d'hotes was named after a local archaeologist & historian who lived here and whose work can be seen on a regular basis at the local museum 5 minutes walk from the residence. The grand 18th century building sports a wonderful spiral wooden and iron staircase, a local speciality that originated a hundred years earlier.
La Rodiere boasts five handsome double bedrooms with high ceilings and antique furniture, all with en-suite bathroom. Each bedroom is individually furnished with historic and current local memorabilia. Silk filled duvets and quality linen make you feel snug and pampered. This is more like a boutique hotel than chambres d'hotes and sits only 150 yards from the 5 star Chateau de Montreuil. Wonderful continental breakfast is of course available, using local and home made produce with a choice of Nespresso coffees and a selection of exotic and traditional teas. It is served in the conservatory, dining room, or in summer you can breakfast in the courtyard garden.
